Meet the committee

Teodor Eren Tiryaki Commodore (2025 - Current)
Teo is the current Commodore of the Castaways and a former Commodore of Imperial College Sailing Club (2023–24). During his Imperial years he helmed on the legendary Kobra Hurricane, Imperial Red and Imperial White, earning a reputation for enthusiastic boat handling, creative interpretations of the Racing Rules, and an unmatched ability to gybe — and capsize.
Since graduating, Teo has been racing with fellow Castaways in match racing events and occasionally joining the Royal Thames for keelboat team racing competitions. He now works in Istanbul, attempting to organise the Castaways intercontinentally — a task only slightly less chaotic than un-beaching a boat — while steadily accumulating airline miles at an alarming rate.
Maryn Wilkes Vice-Commodore - UCL (2025 - Current)
Maryn joined ULSC and sailed for London Purple in his second year at UCL in 2021, helping London White reach finals that same year as a super sub. After studying abroad for a year, Maryn returned to the now re-affiliated UCLSC and helmed for UCL Purple between 2023-2025. For UCL he also served as Sponsorship officer in 2022-23, Commodore in 2023-24 and Race Captain in 2024-25.
Since graduating, Maryn has continued team racing with other Castaways in the aptly named CLART team (Castaways London Alumni Racing Team). He has acknowledged that this endeavour may be time consuming and leave him in financial ruin as he is based in the Netherlands, and must therefore fly in for these events.

Dominic Williams Vice-Commodore - Imperial (2025 - Current)
Dom became a member of ICSC in his third year 2022-2023, joining Imperial Red and bowing out without a single win and multiple capsizes. His subsequent years in the club led to more succes, taking on the role of Treasurer in 2023-2024 and joining Imperial Blue, getting through to finals, and as vice commodore in his final year 2024-2025. Dom’s experience was more suited to yacht racing where he was yacht captain for BUSA in 2024-2025, and led the Imperial Yacht Nationals team through 2023-2025, earning a best 4th place in 2024.
Since graduating Dom’s concentration has mostly been on yacht racing, although he has enjoyed some (mostly unsuccessful) attempts at match racing with fellow castaways. Through some rather questionable choices and a love for roundabouts he now lives in Milton Keynes, often enjoying a short train ride down to the big smoke to enjoy drinks and some questionable chat with the Castaways.
Can Narin Treasurer (2025 - Current)
During his time at Imperial (a suspiciously long time ago) he helmed for the notorious Kobra Hurricane at its inception and earned a reputation for regularly giving the bosun a headache.
Since graduating in 2023 he's been busy with the corporate life but has never quite managed to leave his university sailing days behind him. As an avid STEM enthusiast (Shenanigans, Tomfoolery, Escapades and Mischief) and Summer Sail week veteran he's in his natural habitat at the helm of some looney tunes scheme before returning to the tedium of city life.

Charlie Lidbury Webmaster (2025 - Current)
Charlie is the current Webmaster* of Castaways and a former enjoyer of Imperial College SC. Charlie was crew for the prestigious Kobra Hurricane team where he excelled at being ballast and acquiring good times and merriment.
Despite his early success, Charlie has taken a break from the world of team racing, and instead opted to focus more on bobbing around in the solent on his Grandpa’s very slow 1922 Mermaid and the occasional regatta.
In a period of unemployment Charlie developed the legendary https://imperialicicle.com/ live results website which revolutionised the sailor experience for Imperial Icicle, but ultimately failed to spread due to the cut throat nature of the team racing live results business. Charlie remains hopeful to this day that ISail will eventually receive the adoption it deserves.
Issy Leetch UCLSC Commodore (2025- 2026)
Issy is the current Commodore of UCL Sailing. Having made her way through the team racing programme in Rutland, she made her way straight to UCL Purple in her first year at the university. With UCL Purple, she has already been to two BUSA finals and will be hoping to add a third to that this season. Outside of university team racing, she also participates frequently in Match Racing events including the 2025 Youth Worlds.

Lillian Topp ICSC Commodore (2025 - 2026)
Lilli is the current Commodore of Imperial College Sailing Club. She joined ICSC in her first year at Imperial, where she crewed for Teo on Imperial Red. From that point onwards, Lilli was certain that her time and energy were destined for sailing organization for the remainder of her undergraduate years. Whether this was of her own free will, or due to a year of subliminal messaging, we’ll never know. Either way, Lilli loves a sailing chat and feels very lucky to have found ICSC. In her second year, she was Treasurer while crewing for Teo on Imperial White. Lilli now crews for Angel in Imperial Blue.
